Star cast: Imran Hashmi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yana Gupta, Prashant Narayan and others
    Story, Writer: Mahesh Bhatt
    Director:   Mohit Suri
    Music Director: Harshit Saxena, Mithoon
    Producer: Mukesh Bhatt

    Rating: 3.25/5

Arjun Bhagwat (Emraan Hashmi) leaves his job as a police officer and does odd jobs to criminals in Goa. An uncertain atheist, Arjun lacks commitment towards his ‘aadat’ Priya (Jacqueline Fernandez).

A pimp engages him to deal with psychopathic serial killer (will be revealed later) who derieves sadistic pleasure in hurting and killing girls. Arjun uses an innocent college-going Reshma (Sulagna Panigrahi) as bait to reach the killer and to punish him. And the rest of the story is all about how the killer is dealt with.

    How They Performed?:

Like never before in the span of his career, Emran Hashmi delievered good performance as a troubled ex-cop who fights with his innerself. Jacqueline Fernandez looked hot and bold. Prashant Narayan becomes the center of attraction for his excellent performance in the role of a Psycho serial killer. The rest of the cast perfectly suited.

    Technical Department:

The Cinematography in the movie is top notch. The screenplay is the heart of the movie especially for a thriller like Murder-2.  Even though there is no much suspense in the movie, the screenplay does the trick. The music by Harshit Saxena is dull and Editing is good.

    Final Say:

Murder-2 has uncanny resemblance with hollywood movie ‘The Chaser’ which released in 2008. Also there is a reference of the Nithari mass murders case that stormed news 2 years ago. However, director should be admired for the effective usage.

Murder-2 is not a sequel to Murder. The movie had enough steamy scenes and enough gore due to the ‘Psycho killer’ track. The scenes between Jacqueline and Emran have very little use for the movie and would bore the audience.

The movie is not a erotic thriller as Murder. Audience who love the genre of erotic thrillers mixed with crime will love the movie.
