There will be no more new releases in December. That is what Tollywood producers proposed today at an urgent meeting convened at Film Chamber of Commerce in Hyderabad in the wake of disruption of shows of Arya – 2. Producer Shyam Prasad Reddy, Sekhar Babu, Mohan Babu, BVSN Prasad, Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Kodanda Ramireddy and other producers attended the meeting and decided that it is better not to release movies this month till the problem in Andhra Pradesh resolves.
That means Vamsi’s Adhurs, Kodanda’s Kaasko, Sekhar Kammula’s Leader and other scheduled movies won’t be hitting the screens.
They also going to appeal to the people that Tollywood has nothing to do with politics and films should not be mixed with politics. Sources say all the members from 24 Crafts belonging to Tollywood may meet tomorrow.
