    Baahubali Review

SS Rajamouli, the master of commercial films, is back again with ‘Baahubali’. Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia and Rana are the lead actors and MM Keeravani has composed music for this periodic drama. Let us check out the review to know more about the film.

Shivudu (Baahubali) is raised by a tribal family and at a very young age, he determines to climb the mountains and explore the other side of the world. In this process, he encounters Avantika (Tamannah) and its a love at first sight for Shivudu. Avantika falls for Shivudu in no time and the latter promises to complete an uphill task given to his love. What is that task? How is Avantika related to the kingdom of Maahismathi? What is the real identity of Shivudu?  All the answers should be found only in the theaters.

To begin with, Baahubali has got visual wonder. Audience can witness a graphical extravaganza and Rajamouli has raised the standards of filmmaking in India. Baahubali is said to be the first Indian motion picture and Rajamouli has lived up to the expectations.

Unlike his other films, Rajamouli took a lot of care in etching each and every character in this movie. Not only the star cast but the supporting actors like Ramya Krishna and Sathya Raj have also delivered wonderful performances.

MM Keeravani’s BGM has elevated a lot of scenes, but his music is definitely not up to the mark in Baahubali. At times, we get a feeling that Rajamouli tried to end some scenes abruptly, just because the film is being made in two parts.

After getting an idea about the complete story, one might wonder that Rajamouli should have completed the entire storytelling just in a single part. However, the twist at the end of the film seems to be enough for a movie lover to wait foe the second part till 2016.

Prabhas delivered decent performance and his hard work for the characters of Baahubali and Shivudu is evident on the big screen. Tamannah looked hot and the audience can enjoy the visual feast. Rana tried his best, but he was not able to excel as Bhallaladeva. Sathyaraj is a surprise in the film and he came up with a terrific performance. Ramya Krishna looked ferocious and she delivered a strong performance after a long time.

Producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni must be appreciated for producing such a visual wonder and Baahubali will remain as one of the classic films in Indian Cinema.

    Tollywood Andhra Rating: 3.75/5
