Brahmotsavam is about Sathyaraj and his combined family. Sathyaraj believes in the ideology of being together and his brother-in-law Rao Ramesh thinks otherwise. Things take a sudden turn due to a tragedy in Sathyaraj’s family and Mahesh Babu starts a journey to discover his other family members. Can Mahesh reunite all his family members? Will Rao Ramesh understand the importance of being together? All these answers form the rest of the story.
Brahmotsavam is supposed to be a celebration of life, at least that is what we understood after watching the promos and songs. A regular movie buff will have an idea about what can be expected from Srikanth Addala. This ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ director has come up with another family drama with ‘Brahmotsavam’.
However, Srikanth faltered completely this time. The concept of discovering relatives and staying in touch is a very good idea. But the director had no clue with the screenplay. We can’t find any story in the first half and by the time it is about to end, director came up with a tragedy scene.
Kajal Aggarwal feminist character was well etched, but it’s completely lost in Srikanth’s terrible screenplay. By the time Samantha enters in the second half, and the story is dead already. Both Samantha and Kajal delivered their best performances along with Superstar Mahesh Babu.
Too many songs in the first half, dragged storyline and horrible screenplay made this film look worse. The best part of Brahmotsavam is Ratnavelu’s cinematography.

Srikanth Addala’s not-so-clear dialogues
Bottomline: Brahmotsavam is a disappointing family drama that was beaten to death with Srikanth Addala’s terrible execution.
