Rana Daggubati might have to wait long to register a hit at the box office. His latest release in Hindi ‘Department’ also met the same fate as his previous movies. The movie had just 10% of opening in all the multiplexes. People were seen going out even before the completion of the first half from the movie premiere held in Hyderabad  yesterday night.The makers have announced that the movie will be dubbed in to Telugu after few days. But that is in serious doubt now.

Amitabh Bachchan had played the  role of a criminal turned  politician. Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati have essayed the roles of cops and Lakshmi Manchu is playing the role of Sanjay Dutt’s wife. A Brazilian model ‘Nathalia’ had shook  legs for a special item song in the movie. Where as Abhimanyu Singh who played the baddie in Rakta Charitra had played the antagonist role.

Ravi Teja’s upcoming movie Devudu Chesina Manushulu under the direction on Puri Jagannadh is flying to Italy tonight and will begin a fresh schedule there. The unit will shoot three songs there Majority of the shooting took place in Bangkok. The movie is complete in record number of 50 working days. The audio release of the movie will take place in May and movie will hit the screens in June.

Ilena is pairing up with Ravi Teja in this movie after their hit combination in Kick. This is the fifth combination of Ravi Teja and Puri. Raghu Kunche is the music director. BVSN Prasad and Reliance entertainments are jointly producing the movie.

Movie Moghul Dr. D.Ramanaidu One of the stalwart producers of the Tollywood had expressed his interest in making a film with Venkatesh,Rana and Naga Chaitanya. He said, “I have been in touch with many writers and my film school students to come up with a suitable script and I have been listening to stories on a regular basis for this project. Once it is finalized, I will definitely make this movie.”, he said.

Ramanaidu will very soon produce a Punjabi movie which will make him a Guinness record holder as the producer of films in 13 languages.The film will begin from June 5th in Canada.Navaneet Singh is the director of this movie and Dheeraj Rathan has provided the script.Gippy Aggarwal is the hero. After the shoot in Canada, a few sequences will be shot in Punjab and the shooting will be complete with this.

Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming movie in the direction of Puri Jagannath ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ was launched earlier in March. And the latest is that the movie is going to go on to sets from 9th June. Devi Sri Prasad is going to score music for the movie. Devi had already scored music for Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa which is the biggest hit in Pawan’s career. He is also scoring music for Pawan’s Gabbar Singh.

The makers are planning to release the movie on October 18th. The movie will be produced by DVV Danayya under Universal media banner.

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Adhinayakudu which was being postponed several times due to producer’s financial issues is finally getting settled. A key meeting between the influential members and financiers was held on Sunday and consensus was said to be reached. The makers are planning to release the movie on May 24th/25th. If it did not materialize, the movie will hit the screens worldwide in June.

Balayya is playing three variety characters in the movie. Jaya Sudha, Saloni, Lakshmi Rai are playing the female leads. The movie is directed by Paruchuri Murali and produced by ML Kumar Chowdary under Sri Keerthi Combines banner. Kalyan Malik is the music director.

Tollywood’s most successful director SS Rajamouli made headlines when the Tamil rights of his upcoming movie, Eega fetched a record 5 crores. And now that sum is seen very little as the TV rights of the Tamil version fetched a whopping 3.35 crore. PVP cinemas hold the Tamil rights of the movie.

This was revealed by Rajamouli himself, he tweeted, “When eega Tamil rights were sold for 5 crores, I was a bit worried that we are overselling. Tamil satellite rights were sold for a whooping 3.35 crores!! We are left wondering whether we undersold the rights…:)”.

The movie is gearing up for release on 30th of this month.

Few days ago, we have reported that super hit Tamil movie, Vettai will be dubbed in to Telugu as ‘Bhale Thammudu’. But that is not going to happen now. Instead the movie will be remade in Telugu with Sunil and Naga Chaitanya playing the lead roles. Bellamkonda Suresh will be producing this movie under Sri Sai Ganesh banner.

Sunil will play the role of a introverted cop while Chaitanya will be playing his younger brother. The movie will go on to sets from June 26th. More details of this project are awaited.

The audio release event of Manchu Manoj and Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara which was supposed to take place on 18th of this month in Guntur, is now postponed. While the reason for the postponement is not revealed by the makers. Our sources tells us that the security issues in the venue forced the postponement. The new date will be revealed soon.

Debutant Sekhar Raja has directed the movie. Lakshmi Prasanna is producing the movie under Manchu Entertainments banner. Bobo Sasi is rendering the music.

Super Star Rajnikanth is shooting for his latest movie Kochadaiyaan in Hongkok. He left for Hongkok from Bangalore on Saturday. The shooting will go on there for a week and the movie unit will later fly down to Chennai. The movie had completed two schedules in London and Kerala. The major portion of shooting is completed in these schedules. The makers are planning to release the movie in September.

Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya is directing the movie. A R Rahman is composing the music. KS Ravikumar has written the story. The film also stars Shobana, Sharatkumar, Aadhi, Rukmini and Nazar.
