Janasena Party Chief and Actor Pawan Kalyan arranged a press meet today to talk about the Kapu’s agitation and the anti social elements that took place in Tuni. A group of Kapu community people damaged Ratnachal Express train at Tuni yesterday and this led to a tension across Coastal Andhra.

Speaking about this incident, Pawan Kalyan said, “It’s very sad to see that a group of Kapu community people took the law in their hands and caused damage to the society. To begin with, I’m unaware of the complete incident and according to the things that was briefed to me, I think some anti-social elements were involved in this incident”

He added, “We have witnessed a lot of Community agitations in our country and I’m surprised to know that Andhra Pradesh government took no precautions before this Kapu Meet. If there was more police force, that incident wouldn’t have occurred. It is not correct to blame Chandrababu Naidu garu or Telugu Desam Party for this thing. This is a problem which has been hunting the Kapu community since our Telugu state was separated from Madras”.

When questioned if he is supporting the Kapu’s demand, Pawan said, “I don’t support any caste or a religion. When the government promised something to the people at the time of elections, it is their duty to keep it up. At the same time, it is not correct for the leaders to turn violent while doing agitations. Mahatma Gandhi got us Independence only with Ahimsa”.

When asked if he is doubting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s hand in this incident, Pawan Kalyan replied, “I need to know the ground reality and I can comment on this only after getting a complete knowledge about the incident”.
