Everybody is ready to say goodbye to 2015 and welcome 2016. This year has been great for Telugu Film Industry with brilliant films like Baahubali, Srimanthudu, Temper, Son OF Sathyamurthy and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy etc.
However, there are a good number of terrible films as well. Before unveiling our Top List of 2015, we have our choice of flop films this year.
VV Vinayak’s ‘Akhil’ has ended up as a dud at the box-office. This film was made with a budget of 40 crores and it collected less that 23 crores at he ticket window. Lot of expectations were mounted on the film as it was Akhil Akkineni’s debut movie.
Who would have expected that Megastar’s comeback film would end up as a debacle at the box-office. Ram Charan’s Brucelee was released amidst huge expectations, but the film failed to entertain Telugu audience. Apart from Chiranjeevi’s cameo, there is nothing much to talk about the film.
Energetic Star Ram’s Shivam had a wonderful audio from Devi Sri Prasad. The fresh pairing of Ram and Raashi Khanna was supposed to be the highlight of this film. However, poor script and terrible execution made the film looks worse.
4. Kick 2
For this first time in his career, Ravi Teja’s film was made with a budget of 37 crores. Credit goes to NTR arts for the rich visual in the film, but Surender Reddy disappointed Telugu audience with a predictable storyline.
YVS Chowdary’s ‘Rey’ is the biggest disaster in 2015. This film’s making went on for 3 years and Chowdary spent close to 30 crores on the film. However, Rey was not able to collect more than 3 crores at the box-office.
Apart from these films, there are many flop films like Tripura, Shankarabharanam, Columbus, Courier Boy Kalyan, Jyothi Lakshmi and Jil etc.
