Myanmar opposition leader and pro-democratic fighter Ang San Suu Kyi, who arrived on a one week tour to India is arriving to Papasani Palle in Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday morning. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Central Minister Jai Ram Ramesh and many others are accompanying her during this visit. She is going to meet the womenfolk of Papasani Village who stood role model for others with their saving schemes and turning their village prosperous with their collective hard work.
Ang San Suu Kyi, who completes her graduation from Lady Sriram College in New Delhi in year 1964, has told the media that she always feel herself as half-Indian because of her attachment with the people and the country. She went down to Lady Sriram College and had a chit chat with the staff and the students of the college on yesterday. She explained them how she is agitating to establish democracy in her country. She advised the youth not to adopt immoral ways in politics which will be dangerous for the country.
Ang San Suu Kyi will return to Bangalore from Papasani Village around 12 noon on helicopter.
