• Cong agrees for voting on FDI bill

According to latest reports, the Congress party succumbed to the demands of opposition parties, has agreed for voting on FDI bill. This announcement was made only after DMK assured the UPA Government of giving its support in case UPA is obliged to face voting on FDI bill.

Recently, AICC member Gulhamnabi Azad has met DMK Chief Karunanidhi at Chennai seeking his party support over FDI bill. But, he didn’t give any assurances then during their meeting. But, later he changed his mind and come to UPA rescue at the nick of the moment. Even if his party won’t support the UPA Government on this issue, there will be no immediate threat to it. Karunanidhi, who very well knows about the necessity to maintain relationship with Congress party to keep his family and party away from the legal troubles has taken right decision in right time.
