ACB has submitted its final report on liquor mafia gangs (liquor syndicates) and the details of the people who were involved in illegal liquor businesses to High Court on Monday.
This issue has pulled many politicians and MLAs in ruling congress Government and opposition parties, including some ministers in the Government. Several names of Police officers, media reporters, brokers and local leaders also surfaced in this scandal. This issue even triggered tensions among the state cabinet. At a time Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy was blamed for initiating all these investigations to trap his own MLAs and Ministers so as he would gain full control over them.
During the investigation into case several ACB officials has been transferred from these cases to some other cases. ACB officer Srinivas Reddy, who almost reached to the roots of this scandal, has been suddenly transferred from this case to another at the nick of the moment. It not even spares the ACB director Bhupathi. Feeling humiliated with the Government’s decision of sudden transfer of his sub-ordinate officer, he went on long leave in protest against Government’s decision. Finally, ACB has completes its investigation into the state’s biggest scandal and submits its final report to High Court on Monday. The court may take-up the case on Tuesday.
