Saahasam Swaasaaga Saagipo First Weekend Collections
Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya’s Saahasam Swaasaaga Saagipo in the direction of Gautham Menon hit the screens last weekend braving the dire consequences put up by the Notes Ban. Multiple Postponements and Notes Ban Effect seem to have taken a toll on the film.
And added to that the bad reviews had their impact on the collections indicating that the success of Premam is going to be shortlived for Naga Chaitanya. Here is breakup of Saahasam Swaasaaga Saagipo First Weekend Collections:

Chinna (Chaitanya) is a college going youth who falls in love with Leela (Manjima Mohan) his sister’s best friend. Very soon she starts responding as well and both of them decide to take on a road trip. But then to their disappointment, the beautiful road trip turns totally fatal due to a horrible accident. A Criminals Gang is after them post this accident. Who are they? What are they up to? What Naga Chaitanya does to save his love life? forms the rest of the story.
Naga Chaitanya got very well into the skin of the common young land. His character has two different shades as a Loverboy in the first half and a serious tone in the second half. Manjima Mohan comes up with a decent debut and she looks like a good fit for the role. Baba Sehgal is menacing as a baddie but the villanism is a bit weak.
Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo takes off in a typical Goutam Menon style. The first half is more of a musical love story and there are loads of songs, bit songs and montage songs. The first half is passable despite the slow narration. But once the movie hits the crime angle, things go haywire. The scenes in the second half are dragged beyond the patience of the audience. The screenplay is a big dampner with too much of lag in the proceedings.
The heroism part is also not conceived well and added to the boredom. The famous Vellipomake song is too good on screen but the placement is a questionable experiment. All other songs are okay to see on screen but then you will not feel them once you are out of the theater. The camera work is natural and few locations in Kerala are very well shot. Production Values are okay.
Slow pace in the first half
Disappointing Second Half
Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo is a below average fare. The only saving grace is that Akkineni fans will have feel moments to relish from their actor here and there. Slow paced proceedings hit the movie big time and Gautam Menon has no one to blame except for himself in this whole scenario.
The Union Government’s demonetizing of 500 and 1000 notes has come as a huge headache for Tollywood. The Payments have stopped for the movies releasing now as Producers are not accepting the big notes while the distributors could not arrange the smaller denomination notes.
The first visible victim is Allari Naresh’s Intlo Deyyam Naakem Bhayam which was supposed to release on Saturday is now postponed. The new release date is yet to be announced. However, this will come as a huge advantage to Naga Chaitanya’s Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo.
Old movies have lost their steam at the box office and there is no other competition from the new releases. It has to be seen if this will help Naga Chaitanya to extend his success streak of Premam.
