Satya (Allu Arjun) and Deepthi(Kajal Agarwal) fall for each other but when they decide to take their relationship to next level, Veeru Bhai(Rahul Dev) tries to spoil the party as he eyes Deepthi. On the other side, there is Ram/Charan who goes on eliminating Veeru Bhai’s gang and there is Dharma (Sai Kumar) who is after Charan. What is this revenge stories all about is the major crux of the story.

How they performed?:

Ram Charan has not shown much difference in acting from his previous outings. His expressions have not improved much but his Telugu diction helped him quite well. He is at ease in dancing and action sequences. Some of the dance sequences are top notch and will be a treat to his fans and masses. Shruti Hassan is given a very little role and is mostly confined to songs. Amy Jackson is confined only to ooze glamour. Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal appears in little but crucial cameos. Sai Kumar, Jaya Sudha and Kota Srinivasa Rao excelled in their roles as usual.

For the first time in several years, Brahmanandham is totally wasted in a star movie. Others are okay in their roles.

Technical Performances:

Vamshi Paidipalli made a kichidi of many old Telugu films and woven this story. But the treatment of the film stands out with Vamsi makes best use with embedding mass elements. The movie becomes predictable after the first 15 minutes and the story gets a little mild till the interval bang. The proceedings in the second half are a lot better than in the first half.

Shyam K. Naidu’s camera work is superb and VFX work is commendable. Devi Sri Prasad had delivered a mediocre album but compensated it with good back ground score. Effective editing could have made the movie a lot better. There is a good 15 minutes which can be easily chopped off. Production values of Dil Raju are good.

Final Say:

Yevadu goes in the similar lines of Ram Charan’s earlier movies, Racha and Nayak. You can not term it as good or bad. It is like you do not find any thing novel point to appreciate. The story just goes on like 100s of revenge dramas earlier in Telugu. But with 1-Nenokkadine completely biting the dust, the movie is expected to make a merry at the box office for Sankranthi.
